Rewiring in Dieppe is concentrated in the parts of town that existed before the subdivisions did. The newer streets rarely need it. The original Acadian core around Chartersville, the houses along the older stretches near the Moncton line, and the farmhouses that were absorbed as the town grew. Those are where TLB Electric does most of its Dieppe rewiring work.

Dieppe's newer subdivisions almost never need rewiring, but the town's older core predates that growth by decades and carries wiring to match, which means the honest answer for a lot of Dieppe callers is that they don't need this service at all.
It’s worth saying plainly: most Dieppe homes do not need to be rewired. If your house was built in the subdivision growth of the last twenty-odd years, the wiring is almost certainly fine, and anyone telling you otherwise should be able to show you exactly what’s wrong. What those homes usually need is more capacity, not new wiring, which is a panel and service question, not a rewiring one.
Where rewiring genuinely comes up in Dieppe is in the older core. Chartersville and the streets around it were established long before Dieppe’s growth spurt, and houses there can have original wiring, ungrounded two-prong receptacles throughout, and a service that was adequate in its era and isn’t now. The same is true of the older properties along the Moncton boundary and the handful of former farmhouses that the town grew around.
For those homes we almost always start with an assessment rather than a quote for a full rewire. Often the problem is isolated: one original circuit that was never replaced, an addition wired by a previous owner without a permit, or a single run of degraded cable feeding the second floor. Replacing that costs a fraction of a full rewire and resolves the actual risk. We recommend the scope the house needs, and we’ll tell you when that scope is small.
When a full rewire is the right call, the practical concern is disruption. We stage the work room by room so the house stays livable, coordinate with whatever drywall or renovation work is already planned, and sequence around the rooms you actually need. You’ll know each day what’s being opened up and what’s going back together.
Insurance is often the trigger. New Brunswick insurers increasingly ask about wiring type and service age at renewal, and older ungrounded systems can affect coverage or premiums. A documented rewire to current code resolves that alongside the safety issue.
